<li><strong>RamKund :</strong><br />
Ramkund is a sacred tank, built in 1696. Mythology says that Lord Rama, Laxman and Sita used this tank for bathing during the years of exile. It is believed that if you take a dip or the ashes of any person are immersed in the holy waters of Godavari all his sins are washed away and the person attains Moksha or salvation.</li>
<li><strong>The Muktidham Temple :</strong><br />
The Muktidham Temple is located near the Nashik Road Railway Station, around 7 kms from the city. The distinctive feature about this temple is that, eighteen chapters of the Bhagwad Geeta  are written on the walls of the temple. Almost every incarnation of the God is seen under one roof in this temple.</li>
<li><strong>The Kalaram Temple :</strong><br />
The Kalaram Temple, built in 1794 by Gopikabai Peshwa, is another architectural splendor. The idols of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana in black stone are seen in this temple. The old story says that Lord Ram had turned pale {black} in sorrow when he learnt that Ravan had kidnapped Sita from Panchvati and thus the name Kalaram temple.</li>
<li><strong>Pandavleni caves :</strong><br />
The 2000-yr-old Pandavleni caves, built by the Jain kings, are located on a tableland atop the Trivashmi Hill.  here are around 24 caves situated here. The caves lodge idols of Buddha, Jain Teerthankara Vrishabhdeo, Veer Manibhadraji and Ambikadevi and the icons of Bodhisatva.</li>
<li><strong>Shirdi :</strong><br />
Shirdi lies at a distance of 122 kms from Nashik and is dedicated to Sai Baba. People from all over the country come here in huge numbers to seek the blessings of Sai Baba.</li>
<li><strong>Trimbakeshwar :</strong><br />
Trimbakeshwar is situated in the heart of the village Trimbak, 36 kms from Nasik. Trimbakeshwar is one of the 12 Jyotirlings in India.  It is a form of Lord Shiva.  The place is also the source of the Godavari River.</li>
<li><strong>Ajneri :</strong><br />
Ajneri is located on the way from Nashik to Trimbak. This oplace is suppose to b4e the birth place of Lord Hanuman. The peak of the mountain has a small temple of Anjni the mother of Hanuman. This place is also a very famous trekking site.</li>
<li><strong>Artillery Centre :</strong><br />
It is situated behind the Pandav Caves. It is the biggest Artillery         Center in Asia. The center had been shifted from Pakistan in 1947, and         is now completing its 50th year. Officers and soldiers of Indian Army         are trained here. Training for &#8216;Bofors Gun&#8217; too is given here. The area         is under military restriction.</li>
<li><strong>Takli :</strong><br />
Takli is connected to the Guru (teacher) of Chatrapati Shivaji, saint Samarth Ramdas. Ramdas ran off from his marriage life and settled down at Takli for meditation. He was a devotee of lord Ram and meditated with the words Shriram Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram for 13 crores times in 12 years.</li>
<li><strong>Shinganapur :</strong><br />
Shinganapur is located very nearby to Shirdi. This place is known for its Shani Dev temple. The amazing thing about this plce is that there are no locks or doors in any of the homes in this village. This is since people belief that Shani Dev is always to protect them and punish the thieves.</li>

<h3>By Air :</h3>
<p>The domestic airport of Nashik is at Ozhar 25 Kms from the city. At present only the flights between Nashik and Mumbai are plying from here. The other airport close by is the Chhatrapati Shivaji International         Airport of Mumbai and the domestic airport at Pune. You can travel to Mumbai or Pune from anywhere and then take a cab to Nashik.</p>
<h3>By Road :</h3>
<p>Nashik is at a distance of about 180 Kms from Mumbai and 220 Kms from Pune. It is well connected to all neighboring cities by Government owned buses. There are frequent buses to Nasik from Dadar in Mumbai. Private A/C and non A/C deluxe buses are also available from Nasik to many cities within Maharashtra and the neighboring states like Gujarat. There are also plenty of taxi services available in the city.</p>
<h3>By Rail :</h3>
<p>The railway station at Nashik is counted amongst the major stations on         the Central Railway. It is serviced by almost all the express and fast         trains that go through the region. Reaching Nasik by rail is not at all         difficult, since the railway station is connect with all the key cities         of Maharashtra as well as India, through direct trains.</p>
